An evening vocal recital by magnificent mezzo-soprano Jamie Barton
Opera News recently called Jamie Barton “a rising star … with a sumptuous voice.” She is the up-and-coming artist in today’s opera world, winner of the 2017 Beverly Sills Artist Award, the 2015 Richard Tucker Award and the 2013 BBC Cardiff Singer of the World Competition. She launched her march to the top by winning the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions in 2007, and she has become a warmly praised stage performer with the Metropolitan Opera, San Francisco Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago and numerous international orchestras. Her Matinée Musicale performance is a rare opportunity to see her perform a memorable recital in an intimate setting.
