Spring Teen Class: Finding My Way to Me

Spring Teen Class: Finding My Way to Me

Presented by Women Writing for (a) Change at Women Writing for (a) Change

"Who in the world am I? Ah, that's the great puzzle." - Lewis Carol, Alice in Wonderland

School pushes teens toward making choices like college majors and careers beyond education. Amid pressures to decide how to go out into the world, where do middle- and high-schoolers go to look within and discover who they are authentically? We want to find our internal path and purpose, allowing us to believe in and use our talents and passions. In this class, you will find support on your journey toward self.

During this 6-session class, teens and young women in grades 8-11 will use writing and art as means of tapping into your unique creative self and begin to anchor yourself with your gifts.  We’ll share ideas on how to: leave behind old beliefs about ourselves, balance our gifts, and internalize our accomplishments.  With special guests and readings, we’ll explore the elements and enneagram and what they tell us about how our gifts and growing edges manifest and shape us, and other provocative topics that allow young women to dig deeper into identity as they find self.

Sundays, March 18, 25 & April 8, 15, 22, 29 (there will be a break on April 1, Easter Sunday)
