Piano Legend Leon Fleisher - Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra

Piano Legend Leon Fleisher - Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra

Presented by Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra at Music Hall

Fleisher mastered the repertoire for left hand alone after losing the use of his right hand in 1964. Although he regained use of his right hand more than a decade ago, he continues to perform music such as Prokofiev’s brilliant (and technically demanding) Concerto No. 4. The moonlit music of Nicolai’s Overture to The Merry Wives of Windsor opens the concerts and Richard Strauss’ richly rendered autobiographical reflection of his family life brings the program to a magnificent conclusion.
