Summer Series for Kids is a specialized events for children, aged 5 through 12. These events are programs designed by local educators and artists to offer entertaining, interactive and educational
experiences for students and adults. The programs are

Cool Colors - June 13th
Fall in Love with ROY G BIV as we study the physics of light!  Participate in a hands on paper chromatography experiment to reveal the secret of black ink. Learn about the invisible light energy that plays such a big part of your everyday life! Presented by Crystal Clear Science.

Fossils - June 20th
Discover the creatures that lived in Ohio 450 million years ago during this hands-on program. Make your own mini-fossil to take home. Presented by Butler Soil and Water Conservation District.

The Case of the Kidnapped Backpack - June 27th
Caw Lumbo, child crow and amateur sleuth extraordinaire, is on the case! Billy the Racoon misplaces his backpack… or was it stolen? Everyone is a suspect in this hilarious musical-puppet-whodunnit! Presented by Madcap Puppets.

World Beneath Your Feet - July 11th
Join us to explore the many creatures that live in the soil. We will finish this hands-on program with soil painting. Presented by Butler Soil and Water Conservation District.

Wonderful Water - July 18th
Learn what you don’t know about sinking and floating and participate in an interactive group experiment.  Eye-popping demonstrations in surface tension that kids can easily reproduce at home will have them talking about this visit all summer! Presented by Crystal Clear Science.

Let’s Make Music - July 25th
Come join the fun creating and playing your very own musical instrument which can then be taken home! Together we will create music!  This interactive program empowers youth in positive and unique ways, building on the Developmental Assets of Empowerment, Constructive Use of Time, and Positive Values. No prior musical experience required. Creativity welcome! Presented by Coalition for a Healthy, Safe and Drug-Free Greater Hamilton.
