Coming Together: Art, Family, & Friends

Coming Together: Art, Family, & Friends

Presented by Sharonville Cultural Arts Center at Sharonville Cultural Arts Center

The exhibition Coming Together: Art, Family and Friends connects many people and ideas important to Angie Meehan, Grand Prize Winner of Art North 2017.  “Much of my work is figurative, depicting my family members and every day experiences. I try to create art that’s very personal and sparks immediate connection – whether it’s a personal experience, a familiar person or place or even a pet portrait," explained Meehan.

“The Sharonville Cultural Arts Center believes in family and the arts – and fun. Art does not have to always be serious,” said Curatorial Assistant Becky Linhardt.  “Angie’s prized solo exhibition will have as a focus many of her paintings that include her family.  She asked to expand the show to include some paintings by her friends.  We now have a colorful and heartfelt group show to share with the community.”

Coming Together continues weekly, Thursday - Saturday, until June 16.
