Join us for an exhibit of artwork by the late Cincinnati artist, Merle Rosen, who died in 2017 of brain cancer. A tribute to her legacy as a longstanding figure in the Cincinnati art scene, the exhibit will benefit University of Cincinnati’s Gardner Neuroscience Institute. Proceeds from sales during the show will support research at the Brain Tumor Center for glioblastoma, one of the most aggressive forms of brain cancer. An artist and teacher in Cincinnati for over 40 years, Rosen created experimental abstract works in a variety of mediums, from paint and collage, to bronze and printmaking. A fine arts graduate of the University of Cincinnati, her work has a distinctive and often playful energetic style.
