An artful combination of contemporary jazz with the rhythms of afrobeat and worldbeat music, Now Hear This is electric, funky and organic. The group is comprised of musicians with extensive professional experience, playing music of various styles including with jazz greats Ignacio Berroa, Benny Golson, Tim Hagens, Fareed Haque, Charlie Hunter, Jeff Hamilton, Warren Vache, Don Braden and with local popular groups including Ray’s Music Exchange, The Blue Wisp Big Band and Brasilia. The result is a well-balanced blend of jazz tradition with the experimental elements requisite to find an original approach.

Jazz at the Memo returns in summer 2018 with an expanded lineup and a tasty new partnership with Washington Platform. The best of Cincinnati’s thriving jazz scene offer intimate and often unique performances in the gorgeous confines of Memorial Hall’s Green Room. Casual fans and jazz aficionados alike will enjoy cocktail seating, cash bar and complimentary light bites from Washington Platform.
