Love and Mirth - CSO Chamber Players

Love and Mirth - CSO Chamber Players

Presented by Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra at Music Hall

Each instrument has a chance to shine in this captivating program! We begin with Hasenöhrl’s ingenious adaptation for only five players (from 100+!) of Strauss’ tale of the “merry prankster” Eulenspiegel.

Of the intensely expressive Clarinet Trio, a friend of Brahms’ wrote, “It is as though the instruments were in love with each other.” The program closes with Brahms at his playful and lyrical best, from the opening hunting calls and polka-like rhythms to the jubilant finale.
