YPCC Spring Concert: Radiance

YPCC Spring Concert: Radiance

Presented by Young Professionals' Choral Collective of Cincinnati (YPCC) at Cincinnati Museum Center

Singing gives voice to the voiceless, illuminating truths where the spoken word can fall short. Radiance will shine a light on how people's stories are seen, heard, and refracted and how we can all fight for justice and understanding. Singers will perform the world premiere of 'PRISM,' a commissioned choral orchestral work that pairs with Morten Lauridsen's beloved Lux Aeterna. 'PRISM' further highlights the themes of YPCC's partnership with the Cincinnati Opera's production of the opera Blind Injustice (summer 2019), based upon the works of exonerees who have found hope and freedomw through the work of the groundbreak Ohio Innocence Project.

The Cincinnati Museum Center, with its façade made so famous as the DC Comics “Hall of Justice” seems the perfect place to share the heartfelt music from YPCC & the players of Collegium Cincinnati, who will make up the accompanying orchestra. Dr. Eva Floyd from University of Cincinnati's College Conservatory of Music joins YPCC’s Artistic Director, KellyAnn Nelson on the podium as they present this concert twice in one week – once in the heart of Cincinnati, and once more on the acclaimed stage in Carnegie Hall.
