Artists living and working north of the Cross-County Highway come together in a juried annual exhibition in the Westheimer Gallery at the Sharonville Cultural Arts Center.
Art North 2018 will open Friday, November 9. Artists working in Textiles, Oils, Acrylics, Batik, Photography and Stained Glass have submitted beautiful works of art to this competition. The Grand Prize winner will receive cash and the opportunity to schedule a solo exhibition of their work in the Westheimer Gallery in 2019.
“The Cincinnati metro area is rich with artistic heritage and current talent,” said curatorial assistant Becky Linhardt. “The Sharonville Cultural Arts Center chose to highlight the visual artists in northern Hamilton County, and Butler and Warren Counties, our target area for the visual and dramatic arts presented in our gallery and theater.”
Opening Reception with Awards Ceremony is scheduled for Friday, November 9 from 6-8 p.m. Juror this year is Matt Distel, curator of The Carnegie in Covington, Kentucky.
A special Meet the Artists event on Saturday, December 15 will include artist demos and tie in with the Carriage Ride Saturday on Depot Square and “The Loop” which has become a holiday tradition in Sharonville.

PARKING: Parking is available in the SCAC lot at the corner of Reading Rd and Walnut St, on our building's south side. Additional free public parking is available in City of Sharonville lots, located around the corner on Walnut behind Cliff Hardware, as well as behind PNC Bank at Reading Rd and Creek Rd.
DIRECTIONS: From I-275: Take exit 46 to Lebanon Rd (US-42). Head south on US 42. Stay to the right on Reading Road. Turn right at Walnut Street.
From I-75: Take exit 15 to head east on Sharon Road. Follow to the left onto Main Street (one-way). Turn left on Walnut Street.
