At Kennedy Heights Arts Center, attendees can enjoy Balinese dance workshop, wearable outfit creation, world percussion, group art installation, and fiber art!

Balinese Dance
Experience island dance from Bali, wearing sarongs, throwing flowers, and learning the chants and movements of a monkey chorus with Jeanne Speier.

World Percussion
Get into the beat with Baba Charles Miller and friends, as we learn African and Latin rhythms together on traditional hand instruments.
Time: 11 - 11:45 a.m.

Fashion Challenge
Work in teams to create unique, wearable outfits using only simple materials and your creativity, culminating in a joyful fashion show.
Time: 12 - 12:45 p.m.

African Drum and Dance
Join us for a high energy West African drumming and dance workshop with Bi-Okoto Cultural Center.
Time: 1 - 1:45 p.m.

Create a Paper Garden
Help our guest artist April Cooper transform the gallery into an elborate paper garden by cutting, folding and twisting paper into fantastical botanical creations. Drop in anytime; stay 15 minutes or an hour or more!
Time: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Doodle Dyeing
Use syringes filled with thickened dye to draw colorful, collaborative patterns on fabric with artist Nancy Gamon. Drop in anytime.

Woodturning
View demonstrations by the Ohio Valley Woodturners Guild and make a wooden pen to be donated to local first responders. Drop in anytime.
