Presented by ArtsWave and Behringer-Crawford Museum at Behringer-Crawford Museum

Your neighborhood, your arts. Wherever you are, in 10 different locations, from Downtown to Oxford, Northern Kentucky to Hamilton, the arts are calling you to get involved. Drawing, painting, sculpting: take your pick!

At Behringer-Crawford Museum, attendees can enjoy free admission throughout the day, a scavenger hunt, theater, dance and music crafts, and a 12 p.m. performance of Bach’s Kids, where you learn how Bach’s 20 kids helped him write over 1,000 pieces of music!

ArtsWave Days is brought to you by Macy’s. Series sponsorship from Frisch’s Big Boy and Official Print Media Sponsorship from Enquirer Media.

Three simple projects will inspire you to make music (jingle sticks), move (ribbon sticks), and use your imagination (craft stick puppets). Each activity is easy for all to find success in cute and colorful crafts!
Time: Noon to 2 p.m.

Bach & Boombox: "Bach's Kids"
Bach had 20 kids, and still managed to write over 1000 pieces of music. He must have been very busy! In this program, we’ll get to know Bach’s cello music, and learn how all those kids running around might have helped him write so much great music. Along the way, we’ll sing, dance, count, and hear songs by Bruno Mars, James Brown, and AC/DC, to show us how all great music works the same way.
Time: Noon to 1 p.m.

School House Symphony
Kids of all ages (and adults) can get to know the instruments within the string, woodwind, brass and percussion families of an orchestra. See an up close demo of how each instrument works, what it sounds like and then how it sounds with everyone in the group playing at the same time.
Time: 1 to 2 p.m.
