John A. Roebling’s Covington and Cincinnati Suspension Bridge was the nexus of a sophisticated transportation system and has become an icon of the Cincinnati community. Paul A. Tenkotte, PhD, Professor of History at Northern Kentucky University, will explain how river, rail, and canal connections made Cincinnati a focal point for American trade and manufacturing.

This monthly series features local experts showcasing a range of topics related to art, history, and Cincinnati-area culture.
