Call for Artists! Come to Mariemont to paint the lovely settings and quaint village architecture nestled in this quiet corner east of Cincinnati. Parks, walking trails and overlooks are abundant within the borders of the village. Artists can work in oils, acrylics, watercolor, pastel, or any hand applied medium of their choice. Artists can pre-register online for a discount, or register the mornings of the paint-outs (Oct. 16 & 17 from 8:30 to 10:30am) at the Barn (Woman’s Art Club Cultural Center), where surfaces will be registered. Artists can “paint out” either or both days after registering their surface, and 90% of work must be completed within the Village of Mariemont. Artists can drop off their wet artwork at the Barn on Friday Oct. 16, 4 – 5pm and Saturday Oct. 17, 2 – 4:30pm. The finished, framed works will be hung for judging, cash awards and purchase by the public at the *free* Paint Out Evening Reception on Oct. 17. "Paint Out" Artist Schedule
Friday October 16:
Registration and stamping of fresh surfaces: 8:30 – 10:30 am
Paint: can start as soon as your surface is stamped and keep painting til dark
If finished, you can drop off your artwork between 4 and 5pm OR keep artwork to continue painting on Saturday
Saturday October 17:
Registration (come and get your surface stamped) 8:30 – 10:30 am OR skip this step if you already did this on Friday
Paint: can start as soon as your surface is stamped and keep painting til 4pm at the latest
Drop off artwork at the Barn between 2 and 4:30pm so it can be hung for the sale that night.
