Celebrate ETC’s acclaimed production of FUN HOME with a pre-show brunch sponsored by ArtsWave Pride, followed by the final performances of the show.
In support of those in our community who identify with the themes represented in Fun Home, proceeds from the event will be donated to the Cincinnati chapters of GLSEN (working for safe, respectful K-12 schools for all, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression) and PFLAG (offering support for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex individuals, families and friends in a safe and caring environment), as well as The Trevor Project, the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ+ youth.
About Fun Home (music by Jeanine Tesori, book & lyrics by Lisa Kron, and based on the graphic novel by Alison Bechdel):
Hailed as one of Broadway’s most original musicals and the winner of 5 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, this is the groundbreaking story inspired by the best-selling graphic memoir. Alison’s father, Bruce, was an enigmatic, brilliant man whose secrets defined her family and her life. Bruce taught high school English, ran the family’s funeral home business, and was obsessed with restoring their old house. When he dies unexpectedly, Alison digs deeply into her childhood memories to explore and unravel the mysteries of her childhood and the surprising secrets that shaped her life. Fun Home is the first Broadway musical with a lesbian protagonist, but its messages about family relationships and self-identity are universally accessible to all audiences.
Tickets are $35, which includes food and 1 drink ticket; bottomless mimosas available for an additional charge; admission to Fun Home can be purchased separately, with performances at 2pm and 8pm. Tickets for brunch and the show can be purchased online at the link provided, or by calling the ETC Box Office.
