BatFest

BatFest

Presented by Cincinnati Museum Center at Cincinnati Museum Center

With Halloween just around the corner there’s no better way to celebrate than with BatFest at Cincinnati Museum Center. Enjoy a day of activities dedicated to bats, misunderstood creatures that have become synonymous with Halloween but are also a vital part of our ecosystem.

Marvel as members of the Greater Cincinnati Grotto demonstrate their rope techniques by scaling the Rotunda. You can also get up close and personal with live bats during Bat Flight in the Museum of Natural History & Science and learn about the many ways bats benefit the ecosystem, including controlling insect populations and pollinating fruit. Speaking of fruit, you’ll get a chance to taste some of the many exotic fruits from around the world pollinated by bats.

Be sure to take part in our costume parade as we march through the Rotunda and museums. Forgot your costume? No worries, we’ll help you make your very own mask. And if you’re not worn out from the parade, join our Monster Mash dance party in the Duke Energy Children’s Museum.
