Common Time: Community Music Making - Free event

Presented by Melodic Connections at Melodic Connections Community Music Studio

Melodic Connections invites you to join us for Common Time – a different kind of music experience at our community music studio at 6940 Plainfield Road in the village of Silverton.

Common Time is about connecting through music-making and intentional conversation. Each month we invite a local musician to set the tone. You don’t need to be a musician to join in! Some sing with no instrument, others keep the beat with a percussion instrument, those learning guitar strum along.

At Common Time, we put away the stress or worries of the day to hear and see each other in new ways. You may leave feeling very different than when you arrived.

You will receive a warm welcome and join a community of music lovers who also are inspired by the amazing things we can accomplish when we make music together!

Common Time is free and open to all ages and abilities. Feel free to BYOB and/or a snack to share. Bring your own instrument or use one of ours!

Our January guest is Amy Dennison, Associate Director and Director of Education for Preparatory and Community Engagement at UC's College-Conservatory of Music.

She is also a professional woodwind musician in addition to playing the dulcimer and learning cello in the CCM New Horizons String Orchestra. Ms. Dennison also in the guitar woodwind duo, Cabernet Cabaret, and in the cover band The Twilites.

Amy will lead us as we explore new ways of making music together!
