“Three” is an original piece devised and performed by the Cincinnati Artists’ Theatre ensemble. It is an extremely radical and absurdist take on one of the most critically acclaimed pieces of dramatic literature.
Three is a radical reimagining of Anton Chekhov's Three Sisters.
This piece, created and performed by CAT’s ensemble, is unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. Our interpretation of one of Chekhov’s most famous plays will surely frustrate and excite your deepest theatrical expectations.
Drawing from post modern literature, critical theory and a terrible terrible review written about “Three Sisters” in 2010, CAT uses Chekhov’s play as a launching point to explore what it means to live life disillusioned and how, if possible, we may overcome it.
This is an absurdist fever dream of a piece that will alter your interpretation of what live performance can do.
