Wellspring is a six-episode, sci-fi audio drama from Cincinnati’s Walterhoope that follows Ve, an investigative journalist, attempting to unearth details regarding the treatment of mysterious inhabitants at a government-run facility.
Wellspring is directed by William Vaughan and David Mavricos, and written by William Vaughan, Teresa Spencer, and David Mavricos. With original music by Dylan Oseas, it stars Audrey Bertaux, Billy Chace, Kimberly Gilbert, Darnell Pierre Benjamin, Allyson West, Jeremy Dubin, Jennifer Joplin, and Candice Handy. Edited by David Mavricos and Kaleel Skeirik.
“At a time when our differences as human beings are at the fore of political conversation, we wanted to create a fictional story that contained similar identity related themes,” states director William Vaughan, “we also wanted to take advantage of the podcast medium, by considering the listener’s role in the story and the uniqueness that comes with experiencing something with just one of your senses.
All six episodes can be streamed at www.walterhoope.com or wherever you get your podcasts (Apple Podcasts, Breaker, Castbox, Google Podcasts, Overcast, Pocket Casts, RadioPublic, Spotify, Stitcher.)
