Charles Edwards, Winner of Art North 2019, brings his photography exhibition "Where in the World" to the Westheimer Gallery for the month of September.  Featuring a stunning array of photographs from all seven continents, visitors will be able to look through the eye of Charles' camera and accompany him on his world travels -- an exceptional adventure in our current home-bound times!

About the Artist:
Charles, born in 1935, grew up in North Dakota and Minnesota. He graduated from Harvard College and got an MBA at the University of Minnesota.  His first job was in Cincinnati, working for Proctor and Gamble.  Later he owned a small manufacturing company which he operated until his retirement in 2018.

He bought his first camera in 1950, later began doing stereo photography, then became intrigued with developing and printing his own images, mostly in black and white.  He took yearly portrait shots of his  four  children, followed by eight grandchildren, ending with the two youngest who are now eighteen and off to college this fall.

An avid traveler, he has turned to capturing life through the eyes of his camera, and hopes to encourage others to expand their horizons through travel.
