GO BIG, OR GO HOME! This October, the Barn is amping up the excitement with a BIG ART SHOW.

The goal of this exhibition is to showcase works that are usually excluded from other exhibitions due to size. In addition to including the works of artists who usually express themselves in BIG ways, we encourage those who do not to go BIG. Instead of maximum dimensions, this exhibit requires large minimum dimensions!

The public is invited to join the artists at the BIG Opening Reception on Saturday, October 3, from 5 to 8pm, for nibbles & drinks, and presentation of awards.

Two-dimensional works require a minimum of 65 unified inches (width + height) and three-dimensional works with a unified measurement of at least 110 inches (width + height + depth) will be displayed in this groundbreaking exhibition. These BIG works are all totally original and executed by hand (i.e. no photography and computer-generated art.) Each work will include an artist’s statement about how her work or process gives “Wings and Wheels to Imagination”. In this its inaugural year, the show will include artwork from members of the Woman’s Art Club of Cincinnati, with a goal of expanding in the future to invite female artists aged 18 and older residing in the Tristate area.

This exhibition has been designed and is presented by Big Art Collaborative (BAC), a group composed of Woman’s Art Club of Cincinnati members: Bobbi Thies, Bev Seibert, Judith Affatato, Kathryn Al-Lamadani, Bonita Goldberg, Claire Long, Gail Lundgren, Angie Meehan, and Marie Smith.

The Woman’s Art Club of Cincinnati is sponsoring People’s Choice Awards of $300, $200, and $100.

This exhibit is being held as a fundraiser for the Barn, with proceeds from the event going to benefit the Woman's Art Club of Cincinnati Foundation (a 501c3 nonprofit) which operates the Barn. In addition, the BAC is donating 20% of sales to benefit the nonprofit Woman’s Art Club of Cincinnati Foundation.
