Presented by Black Folks Make Movies (BFMM) at Clifton Branch - Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County

Upcoming in December, WITHIN OUR GATES, Oscar Micheaux's silent classic continues our journey into Black American Cinema. Released in 1919, WOG is unanimously considered the African American cinematic response to D.W. Griffith's racist diatribe, Birth of A Nation. December dates are 12/7 (Clifton Branch Library) and 12/8 (St. Bernard Branch Library)

As always, our screenings are followed by a discussion and Q&A, led by BFMM (Black Folks Make Movies) Founder, Executive Director, Pamela Thomas, award-winning filmmaker, writer, artist and producer of  PBS American Experience documentary, MIDNIGHT RAMBLE: Oscar Micheaux and the Story of Race Movies.Additionally Ms. Thomas is also founder and curator of
