International Quilt Exhibit at The Barn

The WACCF, affectionately known as “The Barn”, will be one of the few spots in the country to host the much anticipated 150 quilt exhibit of BOB ROSS for two weeks in November. His presence will be felt in the Loft at 6980 Cambridge Avenue from November 16-29, 2020. The exhibit is an incredible exhibit and would also make a great family activity, or holiday activity at Thanksgiving. Painting of Bob Ross inspired themes will also be on display/for sale by Gary Waits and some of his students.

Only ten visitors will be allowed in the exhibit space PER HOUR. Timed one hour ticket reservations are required.

Fiber Art at the Barn is hosting this international quilt competition sponsored by Cherrywood Fabrics. In 2019 CQC challenged artists around the world were given a packet of nature colored hand dyed fabrics and challenged to create a 20 x 20-inch quilt about the popular PBS painting instructor Bob Ross. Often children and adults alike had their first themed painting created from one of his inspirational television shows, and then went on to study painting in depth. The collection of quilts is very creative and shows the story of his life in quilts! There are several quilt artists from the Tri State Area that will be featured in this exhibit.

The exhibit has extended hours from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 1-4 p.m. on the weekends. On site parking is available.
