Ages 16 - Adult. Instructor: Lynne Gibb.

Learn to make functional pottery and sculptural pieces of ceramic art! In this class we will instruct you in the three basic clay hand building forming processes: pinch, slab and coiling. Glazing will also be covered. Instruction will be delivered online via Zoom. Students will create artwork at home and drop off pieces at Kennedy Heights Arts Center to be fired in our kiln. All skill levels welcome.

KHAC supplies the following materials with your class fee:

Materials kits are available for contactless pick up (Wed-Fri 10am-5pm, Saturday 11-4pm) the week before to the first class

25 lbs of clay
All glazes
firings

Students supply their own tools:

Basic 8-piece pottery tool kit, $6.99
Canvas, denim, or strong cotton cloth to work on
Small note pad to keep track of glazes
Rolling pin
Turn-table / banding wheel (optional)

Meets remotely via Zoom:
Mondays, 6:30-7:30pm

$120 Tuition + $40 Materials Fee = $160

CANCELLATION POLICY: Tuition is non-refundable, but can be transferred to another course if the student withdraws at least five days prior to the beginning of the course.
