The Cincinnati Brush & Palette Painters paint outdoors (“plein air”), “chasing light” which changes as they paint during the day. This show features 70 paintings by these intrepid women artists.
The past year saw the Cincinnati Brush & Palette Painters chasing light plus painting venues where we could spread out in our masks. Flexibility is the overarching theme of our latest adventures. Adding plenty of hand sanitizer to our supply of sunscreen and bug repellant, audacious members produced numerous paintings, of which 70 will be featured in our upcoming show Chasing Light at The Barn.
This year’s exhibit promises to be particularly exciting. On March 13th and 14th, the Mariemont and Terrace Park Garden Clubs will add their amazing floral arrangements to the exhibit and create the “Art in Bloom at the Barn” event.
See how different members using various media and styles translated this year’s painting venues as we traveled from farmlands to the heart – and heat – of the city. In addition to plein air landscapes, you’ll see stunning studio paintings created by members.
