Six 3-hour sessions devoted to an in-depth exploration of the most important elements of drawing; includes demonstration, feedback and critique, and lots of drawing time
- Make more accurate drawings: how to measure and align for accurate size and placement
- Get control of believable space and depth: how to create the illusion of spatial depth and distance
- Build the realistic illusion of 3d form: how to grasp and use the vocabulary of light & shadow
- Create drama and contrast with tonal value: how to control the distribution of light and shade, and use both strong and subtle tonal gradations to dramatic effect
- Build an intriguing, attention-getting drawing - how to create a drawing that engages the viewer right away.
Charlie provides a supportive space and strong, inventive arrangements for working from direct observation. You'll get as much instruction and personal feedback as you need, plus hours of uninterrupted drawing time.
Six week session: January 16 - February 20. $185
Maximum 8 students, social distancing will be maintained, masks are required.
