CCM piano faculty member Sandra Rivers joins Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra cellist and fellow faculty member Alan Rafferty to kick off the CSO’s two-year Brahms Fest. Johannes Brahms was composing music at the same time Cincinnati was being settled. This performance of the composer’s rich works for cello and piano set the stage for the city-wide festival honoring the German roots of Cincinnati, and connecting Brahms’ music to the romance and intrigue of the architectural treasures of our city.
