Instructed by award winning art quilter and fiber artist Carole Gary Staples. In this class students will learn to make two unique art quilts using two different methods. Students will learn finishing techniques such as how to sandwiching & binding.

Instructed by award winning art quilter and fiber artist Carole Gary Staples. In this class students will learn to make two unique art quilts using two different methods.
1. Using freezer paper patterns and piecing
First students will learn to trace patterns on freezer paper, divide them into sections and mark, apply to fabric, cut out pieces and sew them together.
2. Raw edge appliqué on a pieced back ground
Second students will learn to apply fusible webbing to the back of fabric and cut out images and apply them using various methods to sew them down to pieced (sewn) background.
Students will learn finishing techniques such as how to sandwich and bind the quilt, as well as make a label.
