Westheimer Gallery September Artist Lynn Elzey is a Sharonville resident and former Sharonville Elementary art instructor of 30 years. This month she will bring her exhibition Celebrating Community to share, featuring a mix of works including paintings, collage, and batik (a multi-layer process using wax and dyes). Lynn's show will be extra special as she has chosen her exhibition time to focus on bringing the Sharonville community together. Join us for her show September 3 - 25, with First Friday opening reception on Friday September 10!

PLEASE NOTE First Friday will not be held during Labor Day Weekend (Sept 3). The gallery will be open Friday and Saturday Sept 3 and 4 and Thursday Sept 9 for regular visiting hours. First Friday will take place on Friday September 10 from 5:30 - 7:30pm.
Celebrating Community runs through Saturday September 25. Westheimer Gallery exhibitions and First Friday events are free and open to the public.

From the Artist:
"For the past 25 years, if you call my house and I'm not at home, the answering machine will say, ‘Remember to love, live, learn, laugh, and pass it on.’ I've always tried to follow my own advice, but especially now the ‘pass it on’ phrase. I have been given a creative gift that has served me well as an artist, teacher, author, and playwright. I would like to use that gift to give back to my community, high school alma mater, and Sharonville Elementary School, where I taught art for 30 years. Someone one said, 'Discover your passion, then find a way to share it with others.' This art exhibit is my attempt to say thank you to those who have made my life a wonderful maker of memories. It is my hope that the money donated through this art exhibit will help support the Westheimer Gallery and other artists of the community."
