The Christ Church Cathedral choir will perform at Christ Church Cathedral on Sunday, January 9, at 5:00 p.m.
Join us for a service of Scripture, prayer, music, and pageantry that reflects on the three Epiphany mysteries: the revelation of the Christ child to the Magi, the baptism of Jesus in the Jordan River, and the turning of water into wine at the wedding in Cana. Music sung by the choir will include: Magi veniunt ab oriente (Clemens non Papa), The Magi’s Dream (James Whitbourn), Tomorrow Shall Be My Dancing Day (arr. Richard Shephard), Set Me as a Seal (Eleanor Daley), Cana’s Guest (Richard Allain), O sacrum convivium (Thomas Tallis), and Vast Ocean of Light (Jonathan Dove). Prior to the service, an organ recital will be performed by associate director of music, Shiloh Roby, at 4:30 pm. The service will also be streamed live.
Pre-service music will begin at 4:30 pm.
