Docentitos Academy is Back in 2022!
The Weston Art Gallery in the Aronoff Center for the Arts announces the twenty-fourth season of its award-winning art ambassadorial program, Docentitos. The two-week summer camp from June 4-17 trains youths ages 9-12 to be gallery docents. Docentitos experience the important role of being a volunteer, gain knowledge of visual art terminology, go on art-related field trips, and ultimately, use all they’ve learned to tour exhibition visitors. Daily activities include classes, artist talks, theater tours, workshops, installation and studio visits, and an art project.

There is an Orientation for Docentitos and Families on Tuesday, May 31 from 6-7pm.
Graduation and the Opening Night Reception will be held on the evening of Friday, June 17.

The Weston Art Gallery is situated in the urban core of downtown Cincinnati. With more than 6,000 parking spaces within a two-block radius, there are a variety of parking options for patrons. On the street blocks of Sixth St., Walnut St., and Seventh St. there are several independent valet operators just footsteps from the Weston Art Gallery entrance. Valet stations are located adjacent to Nada Restaurant, Nicholson’s Gastropub, and Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse.
