Cincinnati City-Wide Suzuki Violin Play-In

Cincinnati City-Wide Suzuki Violin Play-In

Presented by Corryville Suzuki Project and School for Creative and Performing Arts at School of Creative and Performing Arts Corbett Theatre

Event is free and open to the public.

A Suzuki Violin Play-In is a tradition of the Suzuki Talent Education Method in which students (and teachers) of all levels gather to play together. The Play-In begins with students performing selections from Book VIII, which has the most difficult and technical music. Then we play through each Book all the way down to Book I, which is where our youngest students start learning. Unlike other concerts, students will join in as we get to music that they know, so the group gets bigger (and younger) as the concert goes on. It ends in a grand finale with everyone playing "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" together!

The first 30 minutes of the concert includes a Suzuki showcase featuring advanced Suzuki Violin ensembles, followed by a piece performed by all the Suzuki Teachers!

10 minutes prior to the concert we will be showing an informational video about Suzuki Talent Education.
