I Am Fierce Partner Showcase

I Am Fierce Partner Showcase

Presented by Cincinnati Opera at Music Hall

“I am FIERCE.” Join us for this one-night showcase of powerful spoken word performances, original music compositions, and photography created by dynamic local young artists.

Presented in partnership with WordPlay Cincy, Music Resource Center–Cincinnati, and i.imagine, this special event will feature some of the incredible young creatives who inspired this summer’s upcoming world premiere opera, Fierce.

About Fierce:
“Tell me who you are.” While learning to write an effective college essay, the four young women of Fierce are prompted to share their stories in this summer’s heartwarming opera. With authenticity and sensitivity, Northern Kentucky-based novelist Sheila Williams interviewed local teens to inspire the opera’s libretto, while Cincinnati native William Menefield employed jazz, modern, and classical music styles in its high-energy score. Fierce receives its world premiere during Cincinnati Opera’s 2022 Summer Festival; tickets are available through the Cincinnati Opera Box Office beginning April 25.
