Workshop | Confessional Poetry

Presented by Taft Museum of Art and Women Writing for (a) Change at Women Writing for (a) Change

Join Duncanson Artist-in-Residence, Ajanae Dawkins for a workshop which explores authenticity in writing. Attendees will investigate who is usually the "villain" or person causing harm in their work. Participants will learn how their writing can act as a distorted mirror and how their work might have the capacity to hold them accountable to be more radically honest.

New and experienced writers are welcome. Materials will be provided, or attendees are welcome to bring their favorite writing materials.

COVID-19 Protocols: All attendees must provide proof of vaccination to attend this workshop. Please email a photo of your vaccination card to vaccines@womenwriting.org. Your vaccination status will be kept confidential on file with the office. Please note that if you have already provided your proof of vaccination in order to attend a previous class or event with Women Writing for (a) Change, you do not need to send it again. In addition, masks will be optional. This policy is subject to updates as Covid rates increase and/or Ohio or CDC recommendations change. Our goal is the safety of all.
