The Westheimer Gallery is pleased to present the work of Cathy Fiorelli for the month of May 2022, with her solo exhibition I Think, Therefore I Paint.

A native of Wichita Kansas and alumna of Wichita State University, Cathy Fiorelli has been a resident of Ohio since 1989. Cathy has been creating art all her life, beginning with a more representational style and transitioning to abstract art.

"I challenge myself to deconstruct the world around me into a visual display based upon my imagination. I re-arrange my perception of reality into organic shapes, energizing the resulting composition with selective designs. The building blocks for this effort are shape and color. My goal is to present an intuitive reality.
My background in printmaking, specifically intaglio and block prints, is the catalyst for employing textural enhancements along with bold applications of color." - Cathy Fiorelli
