Michael Coppage: American+

Presented by Alice F. and Harris K. Weston Art Gallery at Alice F. and Harris K. Weston Art Gallery

Michael Coppage: American+ – An exhibition of new and ongoing lens-based projects by Coppage (Cincinnati, OH) exploring the negative archetypes and stark racial disparities still operating in the language and psychology of contemporary American culture. Through a series of provocative sound, video, and photography installations, Coppage’s participatory projects elicit questions and upend stereotypes by inverting historical scenarios and asking viewers to confront racist terminology.

There will be an Opening Reception at the Weston Art Gallery on Friday, September 16th from 6-8pm.

Join our Gallery Talk with Michael Coppage on Tuesday, October 4th at 7pm.
