Hima Lanka: Sangamam [Confluence]

Presented by Sharonville Cultural Arts Center at Westheimer Gallery

For the month of September, the Westheimer Gallery is pleased to welcome our Art North 2021 Grand Prize Winner, Hima Lanka, for her solo exhibition Sangamam.

Hima Lanka is a versatile artist based in Cincinnati, OH. Combining her passion for art with a Master’s Degree in Computer Applications, she uses her knowledge of the digital world to the best possible advantage. Hima’s prolific works draw inspiration from a wide variety of Indian folk art styles, including Zentangle, Mandala, Warli, Kalamkari, Kerala Mural, Madhubani, Patachitra, and Lipan.
She thinks creatively, creates art digitally, and also teaches beautifully by the skill of her hands.
She always believes “Life is an art form and each of us is an artist.”

“When you have a Masters in Computer Applications and then you have this great passion for art, you know the combination is going to be amazing. The left and right side of the brain are in perfect sync and the creative results are brilliant.” -Hima Lanka
