INDIAN RHYTHMS- An evening of Hindustani Music

Presented by NrityArpana School of Performing Arts (NSPA) at NSPA Studio

Tharini Nagarkar, a pre-med junior at St. Bonaventure University, studied Hindustani vocal music from teachers such as Pt. Vinayak Torvi and has performed at prestigious venues such as Nadabrahma Sangeet Sabha.
Ramesh Iyer, a jet engine specialist, is an avid percussionist and continues to study with Pt. Mukundraj Deo also trains several young tabla players.
Dr. Guru Das, a retired theoretical physicist, teaches at his music school (Cincinnati Sangeet Kala Kendra) and plays several instruments, including the harmonium.
