The Art Academy of Cincinnati is pleased to present Digital Realities, an exhibition by AAC Adjunct Professor Thomas Osorio. Please join us for an opening reception on Friday, November 4, from 5:00PM to 8:00PM.
Artist’s Statement About the Exhibition:
Since 2013 I have been experimenting with creating digital pieces of art in Adobe Photoshop and later the iPad’s Procreate app. The creation of these works involves a search for imagery which is then copied, pasted, cut out, adjusted, and finally digitally painted on to create complex collage and painterly compositions. These works in many ways start as meditations and reactions to the increasingly complex physical/virtual worlds that are being built around us. They draw inspiration from dream-like worlds and a blurred distinction between what is real and imaginary.
Free to the public.
