Steven Thurston: Lost in Translation - Deception and Desire

Steven Thurston: Lost in Translation - Deception and Desire

Presented by Alice F. and Harris K. Weston Art Gallery at Alice F. and Harris K. Weston Art Gallery

Fascinated by history and the alchemy of porcelain, Thurston (Columbus, OH) explores notions of authenticity and the compelling arena of translation. Through an ongoing series of iconic porcelain busts depicting the founding fathers of the United States, he examines translational misunderstanding and conflicting mythologies surrounding the subjects.

The opening reception for Lost in Translation - Deception and Desire will be held on Friday, November 18th from 6-8 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

The exhibition runs through January 15, 2023. Please note that the gallery will be closed with holiday hours for the Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day weekends.

Please join us for Steven Thurston's Gallery Talk on Saturday, December 10th at 2 p.m.
