Please join us for the art and poetry exhibit premier of Martha Scars, Dohn Community High School student and mental health advocate. The evening’s offerings will include an exhibition viewing, poetry reading, and a conversation with Martha Scars moderated by a community artist and a community writer. Opportunity to purchase selections of Martha’s art will be available at the program’s conclusion.

Martha Scars (b.2004) is a Dohn Community High School student and visual artist and poet that portrays her trauma and mental illness on the page for herself and others to express, understand, and visualize their own pain and understand each other. In between her high school studies, Martha participates in the Soul Palette art program which features the work of young African Americans in the Cincinnati area.
