Join Jan Stuart, Melvin R. Seiden Curator of Chinese Art at the Freer and Sackler Galleries, as she discusses how Chinese paintings and ceramics were put on view in imperial China from the 14th to 19th century, and how presentation was a vehicle for the emperor to express personal taste, advance his political agenda, and show his authority.
