Looking for a sign of what to do with those pretty odds and ends you’ve stuffed in a drawer? Upcycle them!
Looking for a sign of what to do with those pretty odds and ends you’ve stuffed in a drawer? Upcycle them! During this Maker Series you will transform broken pieces into a beautiful mosaic piece inspired by the signs in the collection. Materials, including odds and ends, will be provided but you are encouraged to bring jewelry, buttons, shells, broken dishes, and more from your junk drawer.
About the artist: Kymberly Henson has been working as an artist for over 30 years. Though primarily a textile artist, the breaking of a beloved hand-made platter she refused to throw away led Henson to exploring mosaic. Henson’s work includes mosaic, mixed-media collage and sculptures, as well as hand-painted shibori textiles and jewelry.
