Founded in 1987, the Blue Ash/Montgomery Symphony Orchestra (BAMSO) is the only professional orchestra in greater Cincinnati offering a complete season of concerts, free to the general public. Partially funded by the cities of Blue Ash and Montgomery, BAMSO seeks to bring a high quality, artistically enriching, musical experience to all those in the greater Cincinnati area who attend one of our 5 free concerts. In addition, BAMSO works to promote the next generation of musicians through its Young Artist Competition concert, Young Artist recital, and our Young Artist in school performances.  BAMSO provides music lovers of all ages, ethnicities, and income levels the experience of classical concerts. We provide a venue for local musicians and composers to showcase their talents.

BAMSO is composed of the some of the area’s finest professional musicians, many of whom are members of or perform regularly with such organizations such as the Cincinnati Symphony and Pops, the Cincinnati Ballet Orchestra, the Broadway series at the Aronoff, the Dayton Philharmonic, the West Virginia Symphony, and many others.
