The Pendleton Art Center houses studio spaces for over 250 artists in 4 buildings.  The warehouse building was erected in 1909 for the Krohn-Fecheimer Shoe Company, the company that later became US Shoe.  It was purchased in the mid 1900’s by Shillito’s Department Stores to serve as a main warehouse facility. In September 1991, The Verdin Company, the oldest and largest bell and clock manufacturer, opened the building close to their world headquarters to promote and showcase local artisans.  Visitors may enjoy the Pendleton Art Center the FINAL FRIDAY  of each month from 6-10pm and the following Saturday for Second Look Saturday, where all great art deserves a second look, from 11am-3pm or by appointment with an artist.
