The Barn is an historic facility in Mariemont that supports artistic creativity and provides quality educational and cultural experiences to the greater Cincinnati Region. The facility includes a large gallery space, two classrooms and three private studios as well as a unique second floor loft that is undergoing development as funds permit.
We actively host art exhibits, lectures from local, regional and nationally known artists and art historians, programs for families and youth, live performances, adult art classes and even a summer camp for kids.
The building was formerly known as “Resthaven Barn” and was built by Mary Emery in 1924 as part of the planned community of Mariemont. It is a National Historic Landmark and is on the National Register. The Woman’s Art Club of Cincinnati formed a 501C3 Foundation to purchase the building in 2007 and convert the space into an Ohio Cultural Center, receiving several historic preservation awards along the way.
