ArtWorks is partnering with the Cincinnati Art Museum to create an ArtWorks V² Gallery exhibition, Active Imagination, inspired by the African American photographers’ collective, the Kamoinge Workshop.
Join ArtWorks for its next gallery opening of Active Imagination on Friday, April 29, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at our new gallery space.
The Active Imagination exhibit will showcase the works of Briana Davis, Louis Rideout, Allen Woods, Frank Young and 8 Youth Artists:

ArtWorks is partnering with the Cincinnati Art Museum to create an ArtWorks V² Gallery exhibition, Active Imagination, inspired by the African American photographers’ collective, the Kamoinge Workshop. The artists selected have learned about photography under the mentorship of four local African American photographers, Allen Woods, Louis Rideout, Frank Young and Briana Davis.
This exhibit will be showcased at ArtWorks V² Gallery and will run in tandem with the CAM’s upcoming exhibition, Working Together: The Photographers of the Kamoinge Workshop.
About the Gallery
ArtWorks V² Gallery is now located at Cincinnati Scholar House, a program of HER Cincinnati. It is made possible through the generosity of V², also known as Vandell Verdona, a collaboration between longtime ArtWorks supporters Sara and Michelle Vance Waddell and Ron Houck and David Nebel.
