Soak up classical music this May with the return of the library’s Arts & Culture Series.
The Arts & Culture Series features a variety of music performed by local professional orchestras and bands. Kicking off May 12, all concerts take place at 7 pm on Fridays at the Carrico/Fort Thomas Branch.

May 12: Family Movie Night with the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra
The Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra (CCO) will cross the river to transport listeners to the soundscapes of beloved movies. CCO will perform classical music used in major blockbusters, Disney songs and more. Gather the whole family, or your friends, to hear one of the region’s most esteemed performing arts organizations.
May 19: The Kentucky Symphony Orchestra – Swing
The Kentucky Symphony Orchestra (KSO) returns to the series, bringing together the sounds of the 1930s, swing music and hip hop. Based in Northern Kentucky, KSO first formed in 1992 with a mission to make classical music attractive, accessible and affordable to surrounding communities.
May 26: Indigenous Music from the Andes with Abya Yala LF
Abya Yala, a band that is a part of La Fórmula Music Productions, will perform indigenous music from the Andes. La Fórmula is a multi-generational collective of musicians, arrangers, educators, music conductors, dancers and other artists from six countries around the world.
