Asianati is hosting a free admission Hanami Picnic, a Japanese cherry blossom picnic, at Ault Park on April 1 from 12:30-2:30 p.m., in partnership with Cincinnati Parks and the Japan America Society of Greater Cincinnati.
Join Asianati and Japanese America Society of Greater Cincinnati at Ault Park’s Cherry Tree Grove on April 1 from 12:30-2:30 p.m., for their free admission family-friendly Hanami picnic, the centuries-old Japanese custom of gathering to view cherry blossoms!
Attendees may bring food or pre-order bento box lunches from participating restaurants to eat at the picnic. Bento box lunches can be pre-ordered online from a participating Japanese restaurant, Chako Bakery Cafe, Mei Japanese Restaurant, or Cafe Mochiko.
Enjoy performances by the Cincinnati-Dayton Taiko Drummers, and Sakura Ladies chorus, and sing outdoor karaoke. Asianati will present their 1,000 cranes senbazuru gift to the owners of Tokyo Oriental Food Shop, the Matsudas.
Admission is free and open to the public.
Bento box lunches can be pre-ordered online and must be submitted by Friday, March 24, at 5 p.m.
