Cincinnati Opera Young Professionals (COYP) welcome you to this kickoff event for Cincinnati Opera’s 2024 Summer Festival, presented in partnership with Richter & Phillips Jewelers. Young professionals and arts lovers of all ages are invited to celebrate Cincinnati Opera’s 2024 season like a diva—with drinks, delectable treats, dazzling diamonds, and of course, opera arias. Admission includes drinks, light bites, and more—including a private after-party at Corkopolis!
What is a diva? Originally, ‘diva’ was derived from the Latin word for ‘goddess’ and was used to describe a female opera singer. It has a historic connotation of arrogance but is being reclaimed by divas of today, like Beyonce and Dolly Parton, as a term of self-celebration. Divas today are, well, YOU—someone who celebrates their own style, chooses their own path, and uses what they have to make the most of life.
